Meet Sharon Newcomb
Over 50 years of experience as a breeder, owner-handler, professional handler, and trainer has made Sharon one of the most respected dog experts in the country. For more than 30 years, she's served as an AKC International Conformation Judge, including judging at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club show in Madison Square Garden.
Before Top Dog Santa Fe, Sharon ran a successful boarding facility in Voorhees, New Jersey for over 40 years. Her daughter now owns Cleark Lake Kennels in Texas. You could say quality pet care runs in the family.

When Sharon and her husband, David—a retired architect—relocated to Santa Fe, they recognized a community that deeply loved its dogs, yet lacked a boarding facility built to the standard discerning pet owners deserved.
After 12 years of searching for the right property, they found the ideal setting to bring their vision to life. The existing structure was cleared, and Top Dog was built entirely from the ground up—architecturally designed with safety, functionality, and comfort at its core. Every detail was intentional, every material carefully selected, and every space thoughtfully planned to ensure canine safety and owner confidence.
